In the Province of Pisa there is the Lama Tzong Khapa Institute, a Buddhist monastery open to all which deals with the transmission of Buddhism through courses in philosophy, meditation, psychology hold by qualified Masters and teachers.
Monks and laymen live here, as well as students and volunteers who follow the proposed courses, but it is open to anyone who wants to spend time in peace and quiet away from chaotic everyday life.
It is located a few kilometers from the sea surrounded by the green hills of Pisa, inside a manor house and is surrounded by woods and olive trees.
The meditation and the mandala rooms are located in the main building together with the library, while in the park there is a nice café and a shop selling typical Tibetan products and herbal remedies; always in the park you can enjoy a tea choosing among the many offer here, from all over the world.
The landscape contributes to meditation and carry you to a place of peace and tranquility where the Tibetan masters and the monks will bring you on different paths of spiritual research.
Over the years the institute has grown and today there are many people who frequent it regularly but also visitors from all over the world; it is also possible to stay in the institution in dormitories or in private rooms and there is also the possibility to use half or full board.
